Giro d'Italia 2017 in Sardinia
The cycling Giro d'Italia 2017, on the occasion of its centenary, come back in Sardinia with three stages that pass through Sardinia from Alghero to Cagliari.

In its centenary edition, the Giro d'Italia 2017 returns in Sardinia after ten years with the first three stages of the cycling race. The race will cross the island along a path that will highlight the natural beauties of Sardinia.
The first stage will be that of May 5th, which will start from Alghero and will run for 206 km until to get to Olbia, passing through Sassari, Castelsardo, Badesi and the Costa Paradiso, Santa Teresa di Gallura and Palau.
On May 6th, the second stage of the Giro d'Italia 2017 will cover the 211 km distance between Olbia and Tortolì, and will cross Nuoro, Dorgali and the National Park of the Orosei Gulf.
The third and final stage of the Giro in Sardinia will take place on May 7th and will lead the group from Tortolì to Cagliari, through the exciting landscapes of Arbatax, Bari Sardo and Villasimius.
